僕の日常的なコンテキストで実感するプログラミング言語の良し悪しは、Webでの情報源の質とほぼ直結している。ユーモラスで平易な文で書かれた適切な量のマニュアル、チュートリアル、サンプルがすぐに手に入る言語は、それだけで利用価値（正確には選択する価値）がある。 面白いことに、サードパーティライブラリのドキュメントの質や性格は言語自体のドキュメントのそれらにだいたい似通う。言語によってひとつの文化圏が形成されて、そこに所属しながらその文化を壊すのは難しいのだろう。 4コマ漫画入りのJava入門書はたぶんこれからも登場しないし流行らない。
